Today your drive of 160 miles will bring you to the Rocky Mountain National Park where you are free to explore at your leisure. you will then continue on to Steam Boat Springs a quaint ski resort a fantastic place to break up your journey.

Enjoy a relaxing morning in Strawberry Park Hot Springs, one of the most spectacular mineral springs in the world. Relaxing in 104 degrees mineral water. After a morning of relaxing depart steamboat springs and enter the dinosaur national monument at the Colorado Utah border and visit dinosaur quarry which has produced more skeletons, skulls, and bones of dinosaurs than any other dig in the world. Continue on to explore the flaming gorge and Red Canyon.

Depart Rock Springs and travel along the Wind River Gorge north over the high chaparral of Wyoming arrive in Jackson by early evening.

Cross the Wasatch Mountain range to reach the natural wonders in Southern Utah. Visit Bryce Canyon National Park, famous for its crimson coloured Hoodoos.

Saddle up today as you will see more grandeur and beauty then you can imagine on this horseback ride to the rim of Bryce Canyon, where you see the wonders of Wall of Windows, The Chessmen, Silent City and the Bristle Cone Pine Trees.

Travelling east today via Kanab to Page where the red desert meets deep blue Lake Powell on the Colorado River.
Take a guided boat tour from Wahweap Marina at the Lake Powell resort, where you will have the opportunity to view the narrow and colourful sculpted geology of the lower end of Lake Powell. The tour takes in the Glen Canyon Dam, The Antelope Canyon and the Navajo Sandstone.

An early start today to explore the Navajo Indian reservation, the Trading Post of Cameron and drive through the Painted Desert to beautiful Monument Valleys red sandstone spires and monoliths.

DAY 11
|
Departing today for Mesa Verde established to 'Preserve the works of a man' the first national park of its kind. Continuing on to the charming gold-mining town of Durango a bustling Western Cowboy Town. Durango is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts with plenty of mountain bike trails and white water rafting. More importantly, it is the departure point for the famous Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Road, a vintage steam train which follows the Animas River into the Colorado Wilderness.
In the evening enjoy at your leisure, try the Diamond Belle Saloon one of the most famous original ragtime piano bars in the Wild West.

Enjoy the magnificent scenery this morning while strolling along Durango's Main Street lined with South Western boutiques. Leave Durango and pass Pagosa Springs en route to the State of New Mexico. and the artist's colony of Tao.

This morning explore the remarkable Taos Indian Pueblo, a virtually unchanged village inhabited for over 800 years by as many as 1400 Taos Indians. In the afternoon drive south for 140 miles to Santa Fe. Explore Santa Fe's historic centre on a short walking tour. Enjoy the unique atmosphere which has made Santa Fe a mecca for artists. Return to Taos for the night.

Today travel north through New Mexico into the state of Colorado. The mountainous terrain of Colorado will surround you, providing panoramic scenery en route to Denver. Visit Larimer Square in downtown Denver for your final meal in one of Denver's fantastic restaurants.
